Nicole

Nicole was a recurring character in the fourth season of Reign. She was portrayed by Ann Pirvu.

Nicole was King Charles's mistress and later his fiancé. She used to be Lord Narcisse's mistress in secret but their relationship ended. She had an affair with Prince Henri.

Biography

Early Life

Nicole was born as the eldest child in a farm. She has two brothers and lived with them and their parents until she came to court.

Season Four

In A Better Man, Lord Narcisse was trying to use Nicole to keep King Charles on the throne, and the country The Catholic Church However Nicole was upset Narcisse doesn’t love her back, and called off their arrangement. Narcisse apologized, claiming Nicole had come to mean something to him. But he'd had a wife who was killed, Lola and being with her feel like a betrayal, but he couldn't erase her from his mind.

At first, Nicole seems kind and ambitious however its later reveled she knows how to work men against each-other.

Physical Appearance

She has blue eyes and black hair, which is often beautifully styled. Her style of clothing changes almost overnight, as does her status. She quickly goes from a peasant girl to a favourite of the king, which certainly reflects her elegant dress.

Charles IX

After running away from court, Charles came across a farm in Meaux and he hid in its shed. When the family who owned the farm found him there, they wanted to send him home, but he begged them not to, and they eventually allowed the distressed king to stay with them. It was then that Charles formed a relationship with Nicole.

Nicole had influence over Charles, resulting in his conversion to Protestantism. She was able to convert him back with the help of Luc Narcisse, for Spain's interests. Nicole was the only one Charles could trust.

Stéphane Narcisse

Narcisse seduced Nicole with Catherine's advice in order to get Nicole to get the King to do whatever Catherine and Narcisse wants. Although it seemed like a genuine relationship, Henri pointed out that Narcisse did not care for her, inviting her into his arms.
