The relationship between Greer Castleroy and James Stuart.
Greer and James first meet in With Friends Like These. They start off as acquaintances, both in service to Mary. They eventually start bonding over their shared duty and as Greer takes in interest as to why he is courting Emily Knox. In Pulling Strings, James offers to escort Greer to the knotting ceremony, She accepts and the two spend time together. Near the end of the episode, Greer confesses that she wishes she had met someone like him earlier. He starts to avoid her, but is soon confronted by her. She gives him an opportunity to explain himself, and instead of saying something, he lets his kisses speak for themselves. In A Better Man, James takes the blame for the slaughter of the Hamiltons and is sent away from court by Mary, thus ending his relationship with Greer. The both of them are very distraught over it.
