In Strange Bedfellows, while Greer, her sister, and her sister's husband, Thomas, are brainstorming baby names, they get a letter. The letter reads that if they do not pay them with gold, they will reveal the truth about Greer's sister's pregnancy. Shocked and scared by this threat, Greer reveals her pregnancy to Leith and asks him to help her uncover the perpetrator's identity. It is revealed that there was no blackmailer. It was a ploy orchestrated by Thomas to lure money out of Greer, to buy a chateau in Switzerland. Thomas and Greer's sister were planning on fleeing to Switzerland with Greer's baby, to cut all of Greer's contact with the baby. They are soon thrown out by a furious Greer. Greer is surprised by a visit from Mary in To The Death. Right off the bat, Mary notices Greer's obvious baby bump. After Greer explains how it happened, Mary promises to reunite her and Castleroy. At Greer's tavern, she and Castleroy meet again, but they share a cold, apathetic exchange, in which Greer asks Castleroy to care for her and her baby. At the end of the episode, Mary and Greer say their goodbyes, and Greer and Castleroy leave in their carriage. Greer doesn't appear for the rest of the season. |
