Antoine de Bourbon is a recurring character in the second season and a guest character in the third season of Reign. He is portrayed by Ben Aldridge.
Antoine is the King of Navarre and brother of Louis of Condé. He is the head of the House of Bourbon, a cadet branch of the French royal family. Under the Salic law, he is the first in the French line of succession after the ruling House of Valois.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
He was born at La Fère, Picardy, France, the second son of Charles de Bourbon, Duke of Vendôme and his wife, Françoise d'Alençon. He was the older brother of Louis, Prince of Condé and the younger brother of Marcus.
During the Italian Wars, Antoine and Marcus accompanied Henry to Italy. Marcus was killed at the Villa Cortello by Sebastian on Henry's orders. This was because the Bourbons formed a dangerous threat to the Valois claim to the throne.

Season Two[]
In Blood for Blood, Louis of Condé mentions that he has a brother, the King of Navarre, who has converted to Protestantism. This is cited as a possible reason for the death of their nephew, Emile de Bourbon, at the hands of Catholic thugs.
In Mercy, when Condé returns to his chambers, he finds his brother Antoine inside. Condé asks him if he had anything to do with the attack on the castle, but Antoine scoffs at the insinuation. If he had done it, it would've been a success.
He points out that Condé's reports have grown briefer and fewer and he wonders why that is. He was supposed to befriend Francis, but he seems to have grown closer to the Queen instead. Antoine asks Condé if he has fallen for her. Condé says no. Antoine wants the choice to be clear if the time should come when he need to choose between his new friends and his family.
In Getaway, he is throwing a party and asks Louis Condé to seduce Mary. Then starts naming people to make love to each other whether they are married or not.
In Sins of the Past, he asks Mary and Francis for money to help French Protestant refuges. Antoine thinks that Bash killed his brother Marcus in the Italian Wars. He also flirts with Kenna to confirm whether or not Bash killed Marcus. It is found out that Elizabeth I has offered the money to support Navarre. He gets his money and then around Bash pretends to be drunk so he can get answers.
In Tasting Revenge, Lady Kenna has been put in charge of planning the Vintage Wine Tasting Banquette by Queen Mary. Kenna runs into King Antoine while planning the tasting and rejects his offer to make her his queen. When Sebastian tries to talk to her, she shuts him down, as she sees no point in talking.

She then heads to Antoine's room and questions him as to why, of all people, he picked her to replace his wife. Antoine praises Kenna's boldness and her sense of adventure, insisting on her annulment from Sebastian, and she admits that she feels flattered, yet when he kisses her, she pulls away and runs off.
During the tasting, Bash shows up and dances with Kenna. He asks her to go to Paris with him as he is ready to be the husband she would like him to be and make her happy.
The next day, Antoine's wife arrives as Kenna secretly invited her to the tasting.

In addition to being charming and sexy, Antoine is also described as a bad influence.
Physical Appearance[]
King Antoine is tall and handsome, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a light beard and mustache which he keeps neatly trimmed. He wears expensive clothes and a crown which befit his status as King of Navarre.
Relationships[]
He is married to Queen Jeanne. She is dying of a tumor and doesn't wish to see him. Now, he has taken a liking to Kenna de Poitiers and has asked her to marry him. He has told her he'll give her a life full of freedom.
